NotebookLM, the tool your smartest peers are using to make podcasts about beefy topics, continues to find lovers of its core features. Users can upload various documents, including PDFs, websites, and Google Docs, and NotebookLM will generate summaries and identify connections between topics. The tool provides citations for its responses, linking back to the original source material. Not to mention, the Audio Overview feature can convert sources into audio discussions.
Featured Notebooks Now Provide Expert-Curated Sources
NotebookLM now offers featured notebooks, which are collections of content created in collaboration with authors, researchers, publications, and nonprofits. This feature allows users to explore a wide range of topics using high-quality, pre-selected sources. The initial set of featured notebooks covers diverse subjects, including scientific explorations, travel guides, and expert advice.
Examples of featured notebooks include:
An analysis of 2025 predictions from The Economist's "The World Ahead" report
Longevity advice from cardiologist and author Eric Topol
A science-focused travel guide for Yellowstone National Park
The complete works of William Shakespeare
An overview of long-term trends in human wellbeing from the University of Oxford
These notebooks are accessible through a "Featured notebooks" tab on the web interface and can be utilized with NotebookLM's full suite of tools, such as AI-generated answers and Audio Overviews
Also, Now Via Mobile App
NotebookLM is now available as a mobile app, allowing users to manage their notebooks, add new content, and interact with AI-generated summaries from their devices
